Should ground floor members in a co-operative society pay the expenses in CONSTRUCTION of a new lift? They have agreed to pay repairs and maintenance, but are against paying the construction cost.

Re: lift in co-op society
Lift is a common facility. All need to contribute for the same, if Lift is installed by the Society. If members of upper floors are installing the lift for their convenience, then others need not contribute.

You may refer to your bye-laws and the decisions taken by the Society in its meetings.
