Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

I live on the ground floor and have done some renovation to my kitchen. I wanted a separate conceal water connection for the washing machine, so my plumber has made a join onto the pipe that enters my kitchen wall from outside to make one more connection.

Now my society is objecting saying that I have tampered the society property and that I should take the joint from inside my kitchen.

What should I do? Please advice.
