Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

We are living in chennai, and we have a piece of land in madurai, in which a person is cultivating, telling that our grandpa has leased the land to him. but neither he or us have a record of leasing the land to him. moreover he asks for half share, if we are going to sell the land. we are not going to sell the land, but divide it among ourselves. he objects it.He is living in the land more than 16 years. what action can we take to regain the land.

dear client...

Since you are aware that you nor ur grandfather has ever leased the said land then go ahead and divide the share among your self.... if he says anything ask him to show the lease copy nor to file a case ...... Do not be worried ...
