Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

We are living in pagdi system room from last 25 years.in mumbai but in 1985 our area is decleared in s.r.a. so now all the tenent stop payment of rent to landlord. is it legally to stop it or not. please guide me.

UNLESS ALL FORMALITIES UNDER SRA ARE COMPLETED AND REHABILITATION TAKES PLACE YOU ALL ARE TENANT AND HENCE REQUIRED TO PAY RENT TO LANDLORD
