Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

i got married last year, the house where we are staying is on my husband's name. But my mother-in-law is a nominee of this property. if something happened to my husband then i have any right on that property because nominee is his mother. Being his legal wife this house is my property or my in laws? I am planning to change the nomination of this property on my name. can i do that?

even though nomination is in the name of your mother in law, you and your children have an equal right. the property would be divided equally amongst you, your mother in law and children.
