Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

My maternal grandfather left some agricultural land.He has 3 sons and 1 daughter.After his death the land papers claimed that that the land was partitioned and transferred to his 3 sons only & not to his daughter (my mother) i am not sure about when the land was partitioned/transferred between the sons i.e before my grandfathers death in 1991 OR after his death .my question is

a)If my grandfather partitioned it during his life to his 3 sons only can my mother claim equal share now?

b)If partition was done after his death by his sons then can my mother claim for share now?
