Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Hello, I just moved Delhi and taken a house for rent. Owner is insisting on registering the rental agreement. If the rental agreement is registered, is that mandatory that we have to stay there for atleast a year or we can move any time just givivng one month notice. Please advice.
