Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Nomination & Transfer of share certificates to Nominee

My father did a joint nomination on the name of my mother and mine in our housing society. My father passed away and would like to know what detailed procedure do we have to follow to transfer the name & share certificate in the society, so that at the time of selling a flat we should not face any legal problem.

Re: Nomination & Transfer of share certificates to Nominee

Apply to the Society in the form prescribed under the bye-laws with death certificate of father.

The society would effect necessary changes in the share certificate to delete name of your father and enter your names as members.
