If the owner of the house passes away without writing the house in anybody's name, can the house be changed into his wife's name by showing the death certificate of the owner.

i agree with Mr. Mukerjee. the house cannot be mutated in the name of wife unless she obtains NOC from other legal heirs. in case any of them objects to mutation, the house has to be partitioned by metes and bounds.
