Can a PIO card holder purchase property in India

I am a PIO (Person of Indian Origin) card holder, with a foreign passport. Are there any restrictions to my purchasing property in India for residential use?

Yes there are few restrictions from the RBI. What nationality you hold currently?

No restriction for purchasing constructed properties purchased without retaining right of repatriation of either amount invested or returns thereon.
