Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
Property law, family law
(a)No list of the the money and gifts etc given voluntarily by the parents in law of the husband to the husband in order to purchase household items after marriage/during marriage have been made according to the dowry law since 2 years have passed when the gifts/money was given. Obviosly making of such a list now will not be agreed to by wife since the relations have now got strained and she contemplates filing false criminal , dowry charges against the husband. How should the husband go about saving himself?
(b) Husband has been alloted a plot by the HUDA(cost Rs 20 lacs). A sum of Rs 30000 was contributed (out of the FDs in her daughter's name)by his father in law at the time of paying 1st installment of the plot money. Can he now claim a right to the plot or prevent husband from selling it if his daughter files dowry, criminal cases against her husband. If husband now pays back the amount, will it help him in case of such claim by his father in law ? What does the law says on this? pl help.
