Property Tax on rented flat

I have given my flat on rent in Navi Mumbai. Builder is asking for a fee since he has not handed over the society from me. When I refused to give him, he is saying quote ''I will make a complaint in the Navi Mumbai Muncipal Corparation that you have given the flat on rent and I will ensure that you will have pay 1/3rd extra as property tax.''

When I say I will pay to the corporation for whatever money they ask for, my builder started abusing me.

Please suggest what should I do in this case. Also please let me know the rules of property tax for a rented flat.

If the builder is misbehaving with you, you may lodge a complaint with the police. For property tax issues, you may approach the Municipal Corporation for appropriate guidance.

You can lodge a criminal complaint against your builder. As far as tax is concerned you have to contact your local authorities.

Appropriate authorities may be contacted, i.e., police and municipal authorities, for the redressal of grievance, respectively.

You can take appropriate legal action against the builder.

Rates of property tax are not uniform in all municipal limits. You need to check with the concerned municipal authority.
