i have purchase a plot on 1-6-2002 from a person from big land . i have make registered banakhat and after giving him full payment to him he has given me notraised possession/cum banakhat completed agreement. i want to know .is it legal. now person is not traceble. how can i tranfer plot on my name. and i want to know can i get stay order from court if any third party start construction on land

Sometime in 2001-2002, there was an amendment to section 53A of the Transfer of Property Act requiring delivery of possession in part performance by a registered document.

If your possession is before that amendment, then you can claim protection of your possession.
