Purchase of site falling under hi-tech zone
Hello,
I am plainning to buy a site in Ponnthur village (Near outer ring road, Marathalli, Bangalore). Owner of the land says that this falls under green belt and Hi - Tech zone. Please let me know how far it is advisable to by such a site. Can this be converted to resedential at a later point and can loan be obtained for construction of house in such a site. Thanks in advance.

The total extent of land you propose to purchase and the proposed built up area are required to answer your question. Since there are some regulations with regard to construction of houses a definite opinion can be given only on furnishing such details. Contact me at [email protected]

If the area is ear-marked as Green belt area and Hi-tech Zone, no residential activity can be carried out, unless a change of land use is permitted by the Deputy Commr. However, the details of potential usage of the relevant zone can be obtained in the Office of the BDA.
