Legal Question in Real Estate Law in
we purchased a plot and then constructed our house three years back,now a person filed a court case against us claim the land is his on which we have constructed house.can we seek compensation from our landowner for this,if it is proven true in the court.but someone told me we can't sue our landowner due to caveat.plz advice what we can do.thanks.

if the claimant has strong evidence of his ownership, which you did not check before purchase, then you may recover your amount from the erstwhile seller and also file a criminal complaint against the seller for selling you a property which did not belong to him.
