Querey regarding defaulting member in Co-Operative Housing societies

My question relates to a dispute in a Co-operative Society, which is a allotted plot of MHADA and a common wall was provided to every member at the rear open space by the Contractor for ventilation. However, one member demolished his common wall in order to occupy extra space and the same was brought to the notice of society in the meeting and society did not take any action against the said member for encroaching upon the extra space. What legal steps I will have adopt for the said problem as the said extention of space is likely to affect us and the said defaulter may raise problems in future and will claim over our common wall. I am willing to go to Co-operative Court as well as to the deputy Registrar of Societies, MHADA, Mumbai. Please guide me in this regard. Thanking you. Yours Truly, Krishna R.--name removed--

You need to check bye-laws and rules of local authority governing compound wall. If it is compulsory, then you can approach appropriate forums for remedy.
