Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Question 1....i have moved to Goa about ten days back from mumbai. In mumbai about 2 months back someone has trespassed on my property. now since i am going to be in Goa for next 3months or even more can i file a suit for trespass in Goa. the Trespaaser stays in mumbai.

Question 2....Also If I have to file any criminal case against this person can i do so in Goa.

Pls answer both my questions.

No. You may file a criminal complaint only in Mumbai where the alleged tresspassing took place.

1. If property is in Mumbai, you need to file suit in Mumbai.

2. If property is in Mumbai, offence is committed in Mumbai and court/police in Mumbai would have jurisdiction.
