The property purchased in the 2nd wife name means that she is the 50% owner of the property with your father. It has nothing to do with her legal marital status . And 2nd marriage is null and void if the 1st wife is alive or if not divorced. The issue is different in your question. It is about succession of property after the demise of your father and 2nd wife.
