I had asked a question regarding the home loan and completion certificate of a building and I have got reply from some of the lawyers .Thank you for your assistance.Now I just want to ask that if builder is not giving me completion certificate before the registration then can I obtain it directly from municipal authorities and is it legal and if so what is the procedure?How many copies are there of completion certificate because if builder is having one can there be other copy with municipal authorities?and how much time it will take to get the CC from municipal authorities?

There is no bar for you to approach the Municipal Authorities.

Copy from municipal office imply a certified copy.

Since completion certificate is issued by municipal office and original or office copy is with them, they can issue as many certified copies as applied for.
