we bought a piece of land in 1984,sold to us by a group ofGPA holders.this lplot is now occupied by a powerful land graber.person who occupied the land says that the whole layout has been double registered.they are politically strong and in no way we will be able to ask for the evidence for what they say.total area occupied is in acres & ours is a small plot admeasuring 700sq.yds.few plot owners were compelled to sell their plots for this person owing to circumstances.locals say that hold on this property is changing hands from about a decade.EC issued by SRO states i am the sole owner of the plot.how do we deal with this .please advise.

First of all kindly provide me with the following Details so that we may be equiped enough to answer your querry :
State where the Land is situated
Which all Documents you possess to prove that the land is in your name ?
Do you only Have GPA or do you possess any other Papers also.
The Electricity Meter is in whose name ?
Who is Paying the charges and Taxes to Authority ?

File appropriate suit. Also consider approaching the high court under writ jurisdiction.
