In recent DDA Housing Scheme 2010 even if only husband has applied for DDA flat and got selected for allotment, DDA is asking affidavit vide annexure D & E from both husband and wife to the effect that they are legally wedded. Further, why DDA is asking for photo and specimen signature of wife also vide Annexure-I. Perhaps, this is for the purpose that title of the DDA flat will be registered /conveyance deed will be executed in the name of husband and wife both. In this regard, my question is under which Act or Rule or Regulation and its specific clause, DDA is forcing execution of conveyance deed/ registration of title even when wife was not an applicant.

The allotment of the flat would be in husbands name and not in wifes name.
