Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
I recently purchased a resale (8-10 yrs old) flat in Mumbai, this particular flat has an ad hoc committee with the builder not completely releasing the building to the society.
There is a bar and restaurant in the grnd floor with the bar owner's flat on the first floor. I need to rent my flat on the 2nd floor as a commercial lease as it is difficult getting residential tenants due to the bar and its noise.... is this possible? The society at present forbids me from doing so....please help me know the laws, is it really not possible for me to rent it out as a commercial place?

Check bye-laws of the society as also regulations of the local authority like municipal council or municipal corporation in that behalf and act accordingly.
