refund of franking of special adhesive stamp

I have franked(special adhesive) a property purhcase deed for Rs. 188875/- at IDBI Mumbai on 13.12.2007 which is unused by me since deed cancelled. Shall I get refund now?

Usually, there is a time limit for cancellation of a deed and refund of money spent on stamp duty. You may better contact the local revenue authorities for appropriate guidance.

Although I have not copy of Indian Stamp Act, but as per Pakistan Stamp Act, limitation to file refund of stamp is six month from the date of their spoil, i.e., actual date when they were written or damaged.
