Who was the seller at that time? Why did you not get the sale Deed registered at that time ? What was your method to get the ownership title transfered ? Dear Sir / Madam,
Further to the advice rendered by Sanjay Kalra, if you are residing in a registered co-operative housing society, you should obtain a letter from the Secretary to the effect that the flat is in your name, and visit the Office of the Dy. Collector at Bandra Kurla Complex (or any other office as designated by them at Borivli / Dahisar). Flat registration involves payment of the prevailing Stamp Duty. If you have the chain of documents, you do not need to trace the seller.
