Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
The sub register has not received the complaint regarding illegal transfer of property misusing the method of issuing E.Cs. without verifying the side by identifications. He has stated that, it is a dispute between the parties. Is it correct? In official web site it is mentioned that, the sub register has to accept complaint and respond with in seven days.
In view of above incidence, the sub register is postponing to issue E.Cs for which I have applied. He demands orally to show the records with me to verify. I don't mind showing the records, if officially requested. A sub register office has to maintain records required for issuing E.C. Is it correct demanding records with us to verify for issuing E.C? I am suspecting some manipulations. Please enlighten me in this regard to proceed further.

Dear Sir / Madam,
The Sub Registrar has all copies of the original title deeds and he cannot absolve himself saying that there is a dispute between the parties. Yes ... the Registrar is duty bound to accept a complaint and respond in writing to it.
The Sub Registrar may be wanting to confirm the authenticity of your title, so it is in your interest to show him the relevant photocopies of your original title deeds.
