Registration of office premises

I own an office premises in Mumbai on which I have already paid stamp duty but registration is not done. Now I want to sell the Premises, is it necessary to get it registered before sell ?

It will depend upon your agreement with the buyer. You may sell your rights as it is also to the intending buyer. Registration in your favour is not compulsory but you will need to execute a sale deed in favour of the buyer which sale deed shall be required to be registered.

Registration depends on nature of document.

Registration is also depends on date of document. Beyond 4 months of date, one can register by paying penalty. Beyond 8 months, registration not possible.
