Registration of original document by 4th Owner
Hi ,

I am the 4th Owner of a property in Mumbai .
I got the stamp duty paid on the original ''First'' Agreement between the first owner & Builder using the Amnesty scheme 2008 .

All subsequent agreements are duly registered after payment of stamp duty

I believe amnesty scheme does not cover registration ... however is it possible for me as ''fourth'' owner to register the First agreement ?

Also is registration mandatory for title being clear , keeping in view that conveyance may be sought by the society from the builder in the immediate future .

You may better contact the concerned revenue officials in the office of local Collector.
