Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

One of my relative died.He had two cars in his name.Now after his death can the cars be transferred to his father's name as his wife was separated(not divorced,but both have signed papers and given it t the court and the court has given date in May 2011 for hearing while he died on 04 Jan 2011)?

yes, the car may be transferred in favour of father.
