Rent Control Act

One Proprietory firm have a shop of rental property since 1973 , my father was a propriter of the firm as well as tenant . my fathers death on 17th feb 2008, as per thier WILL Deed - Prop firm right passes to me ,as well as tenant right , the Question is what is the legal process to tenant rights transfers to me from landlord ?

You may continue paying the rent.

In case of your father dispute then you may seek advice from a local lawyer and approach the court of law.

Proprietory firm has no legal entity.Tenancy was in your father's name,so,get the same transfered in your name being proprietor.

You can inform the landlord and continue paying the rent.

In case other heirs of your father dispute, then you need to approach the court.
