Rent dispute Case
We have been living in a house for last 19 years i.e. since 1991 on rent.The rent amount which was fixed for the house was Rs1000 per month but no legal documents were signed ,no rent agreement etc .they filled a case against us in 2001 that we have unlawfully acquired there full house where as (as per them) they had rented us a single room.
But they were not able to prove it out in 2008 they have sold out the property to someone else and that person in turn has got this property registered on his name and the case is till running in the district court
we have not paid rent from last 5years as they were not accepting it
In this case what should we do and what that new owner can do.Please help

your case is not strong as you have not deposited the rent since five years. better start depositing the rent in court.
