Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
RESPECTED SIR,
I HAVE GOT A PLOT REGISTERED ON 14th NOVEMBER 2011 IN ALIGARH..THE SELLER HAD PURCHASED THAT LAND IN 1985..BUT HE DIDN'T GET IT MUTATED. NOW I WANT TO GET IT MUTATED..SOME PEOPLE SAYS THAT RESIDENTIAL PLOT CANNOT BE MUTATED..AND DIFFERENT PERSON GIVE DIFFERENT OPINION...BUT MY WELL-WISHERS HAVE TOLD ME TO CERTAINLY GET THE PLOT MUTATED BECAUSE ONLY THIS ORDER ESTABLISH PERMANENT OWNERSHIP OF THE LAND..KINDLY SUGGEST ME THE PROCESS AND THE REAL TRUTH BEHIND ALL THIS..

Ownership or title is conveyed by a duly registered deed.
However, for all practical purposes entries in revenue records are looked into. Do have your name entered in reveune record by following due mutation proceedings.
