what rights do I have on a land which is purchased by my mother as I am married and 41. staying in my own (in laws house) since my marriage. I have a daughter of 16 and a son of 13. we are 3 sister and brother. I am eldest, my sister 38, married but saperated staying with my parents with her 10 years daughter. my only brother 35 married with one daughter of 6 years stays out (in Jaipur) working as a regional Manager in a private company. my father retired but working aged 68 does not maintain my mother and sister poperly neither he allows my sister to work. He dos'nt want to let my mother give this land to me and my sister before his death and forces my mother to sell this land. What can I do to protect this land from selling as my mother does not want to sell it. Also tell me if my brother does not want me and my sister take this land how can we protect it.

everything boils down to your mothers desire , if she wishes to give you a share in the property ,no one can stop her but if she does not want to give you anything in the property then you cant do anything through law or otherwise.
