Service tax

We are using vacant land taken on lease. We erect our open to sky plant with temporary structures for our office block. We want to know whether Service Tax on Rental of Immovable Property is applicable.

Service Tax on Rental is presently available for commercial properties only.

Since the activity on the land leased is of commercial nature, service tax will be applicable.
