Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

sharing of House - can my brother claims more...

We 2 brothers are co-sharers of an ancestal House.

I live out of House due to my transferable service.

My brother lives in that House.

We two equally pay the maintenance cost, etc. of the House.

If the House is sold now can my brother claims more...?

This you should be asking your brother.

If you have equal shares and jointly decide to sell the property, then proceeds will be divided equally.

Residing in ancestral house cannot be considered as a ground for claiming higher share as in your case you too pay equal maintenance expenses for the ancestral house.
