Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Sir, I am Ex-army person, presently settled at Pune. I have booked a flat on behalf of my son for which I was given the general power of attorney by my son to enter into a deal for booking of a flat and to proceed further taking over possession of the same on completion. At the time of taking over the flat a lot of discrepancies came to light. When the promoter did not responded, I took the issue to District Consumer Dispute Redressal Forum. It is for your information that all Agreements/deed have been signed by me on behalf of my son as legally constituted Attorney. The opponent has now challenged the legality of my being legal consumer because in the Power of Attorney there has not specifically been mentioned that in such cases I have been empowered to proceed legally on his behalf. Please advice legality of my right to file the case and argue on behalf of my son. - Om Prakash Soni
