Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Hi Sir,

I have purchased a property before one and half year back the owner was dead so we have completed paperwork with his wife and son, our neighbours says there was a loan against property from a bank but it's been more than a year is there a possibility of a loan? How to get clear about this? If it is who is liable to pay? And what will happen then?

Inquire with wife/son of the owner about the loan and have the same cleared.
