Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Hello Sir,

I would like to ask a question regarding HUF property division law. Ours was a HUF which consisted of members from my paternal uncle's family ie my paternal uncle, his wife & two sons & their family & children + my father, mother & we are 4 siblings (we are two sisters & two brothers). Few months back my brothers & cousin brothers decided to have a property division. The property was in the name of different persons within the HUF. But nothing was in either my name being a daughter or in the name of my sister. Three months back they had the property division in front of the local magistrate of Nanded district of Maharashtra state, whilst I remained unaware of the facts. Also I am not given any share in any property that is ancestral or been added later on into the HUF.

I would like to know if being a married daughter of a (married in July 2006) HUF ; will I have a right on the HUF property? They are not ready to give me or my sister anything. Can I ask for my share legally? Kindly reply.

Thanks & regards

Existing of a HUF and existence of property or properties of HUF are two different things.

In case you are in a position to prove that a particular property is HUF property, then you may ask for share..
