Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

sir,

i own a flat in PUNE jointly with my father ,who expired few years ago,For deleting the name and transferring in my name i approached my society and have submitted all the required documents .The society has referred my file for legal view .now the advocate has instructed the society for publishing my claim in local news papers and the society in turn is trying to put the publishing expenses on me , which i think is the society's work as they have appointed the legal and whatever documents were required have been submitted by me .including death certificates,release deeds ,,etc

please clarify the same
