Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India
Sir/Mam,
I have a plot of 160 gajas in Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) which is registered at registrar office in 1999. we had purchased it 12 years before. But recently we are very much worried about that plot because we do not have sufficient money to construct house and we are hearing that somebody illegally occupying open plots in the city. That was the only plot we have. we are planning to construct house after 2 to 3 years. Please suggest what are the legal steps that we should take in order to prevent such cases with my plot or to protect our plot as we are residing very far from our plot which is approximately 1000kms away from Visakhapatnam. Thank you

you may have to retain a lawyer and file a case against the person who is trying to encroach upon your land. you may also seek police help in this regard. mere hearing is not enough, you got to see whether there is any illegal construction going on your plot.
There are many ways by which one can ensure that their purchased plot is not encorached upon by some one, particulalrly when one is far away from the plot whcih means daily or regular monitoring is not feasible. Contach [email protected]
One need to protect his property.
If somebody take forcible possession, you can approach court.
