Hi Sir
My Mum owns property given to her by her father,
She applied for US visa as my caretaker ( i had a depression issue for whih us govt needed a care taker)y
in her affidavit to the visa . and giving financial gaurentee she stated as
" that she owes me xxx amount of money as she has sold a joint property and proceeds have been granted to my brother and also the PF/Insurance money and income of propertys have be utilised by her and my brother in which i have a right aswel"
" in as such she owes me xxxx amount of money and she aggrees to pay that as required by me
and gaurentee her property in as such , and me or anybody on behalf of me can take pocession of the property if she would be unable to pay th money in so so time"
and i can use this as my own assets/funds avilable for any securty purposes.
later my brother got a will from her in favor of him .
now the dispute arises . what rights do i have .. is afidavit is of any value?

the affidavit furnished before an authority does carry value but u need to make out a case on your own strength exercising your own rights.
