Stamp Duty Amnesty Scheme 2008

Hi, I bought the flat in 1973 from buider .. As per my understanding there is no stamp duty . do i need to pay it .. and what does the stamp duty amnesty scheme is all about

You should contact the local revenue authorities with your documents to ascertain your liability, if any. You may also obtain a copy of the amensty scheme from the authorities and come back to us if you are unable to understand any part of it. we will help you in understanding interpretation of the scheme/statute.

If formalities of registration of conveyance is already over, then no need to pay stamp duty on your agreement.

You may visit the website of IGR and check the details of Amnesty Scheme.
