stamp duty enquiry

My father bought a house in Kurla MUMBAI in a housing colony at Wadia estate. But he is dead 5 years back n I feel he has not registered this house.

Plz let me know how much % STAMP DUTY will I have to pay with also the Registration cost if I want to register it now, since the house is on my name on the agreement.

The stamp duty cost is determined as per value of the property. you should approach the local authorities or the local Advocate or deed-writer to ascertain costs involved.

Stamp Duty can be paid by submitting agreement under Amnesty Scheme currently available.

Registration of very same agreement is not possible in view of lapse of time. Consult your lawyer for exploring other available avenues in this regard.
