Stampduty & Registration Charges

I am planning to buy a flat in Thane. area of falt is 740sq.ft and rate owner is asking about 32 lacs. pls can you guide me how much stampduty and registration i will have to pay. and any contribution from earlier owner in this.

Stamp duty differs from state to state,so you may contact a local lawyer or the sub-registrar office to know details.It is mutual understanding between you and the ex owner to share stamp duty and regn.charges.

Stamp duty is on higher the agreed value or ready reckoner value.

In Maharashtra, for flats in a Society or Condominium, stamp duty is on slabs.

If your flat qualify for stamp duty on slabs, then for 32 Lacs, stamp duty would be 1,42,600/- and registration charges would be Rs.30,000/-
