Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Hello, We are staying in chawl which is a place of charity and now sold to a developer..we have bought this house from a person who was given a place to stay here since he was poor and no rent or whatsoever was charged from anybody here.This property is now going under redevelopment, so we stand a chance to get a house here itself or do we have to move with whatever the bulider is offering
