Stop check payment
I had issued a check of Rs.5000/- as a token advance for purchase of flat. After verifying the documents i found that the payment was made some one else & not the actual owner. I have instructed bank for stop check. Now that person is refusing to return the check. My question is there any possibility of misuse of that check? Can he forge my signature in some paper saying that i had taken loan from him & not paid?

You ask the person to whom you have issued to return the cheque immediately by issuing a Notice to him. Regarding your query that whether he can do anything by forging your signature, it is a hypothetical question. Whenever any problem arises then you contact the forum and take advice relating to that problem.

no, in case they did forgery, they have to face consequences.
