structural repairs

If a part of the ceiling slab in an apartment of a co-operative society collapses, can a member demand the repairs to be done by the society? Or does the member do the needful by his own expenses?

You may want to refer to the bye-laws of the Society along with the relevant statute.

Apartment and Society are different.

In case of society, it is owner of land and building and should do the needful.
