surrender of legal rights
my grand father having land in which my name is icluded in 7/12.
now my grandfather will quite and remove his name from 7/12 joint.
weather I have to pay any stemp duty?

Your grandfather can transfer his share in the land either by sale or gift - both are chargeable with stamp duty. In Maharashtra, stamp duty on gift deed in favour of near relatives is less then sale deed.

during his life time, yes. But when you inherit after his death by way of will, no stamp duty is payable.
