Tenant and Landlord

I have property wherein the lease period expired before the the ownership changes. Is this constitute a tenant and landlord relationship under the Transfer of property act. Pls advise.

landlord lesse relationshsip will continue even after expiry of lease as tenancy is protected under statute and he can be evicted only wtih rference to rent control Act.

That would depend on the provisions of the Rent Act of the State in which property is situate.

Transfer of Property has no bearing on landlord tenant relationship.
