Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

Hi There,

Could you please help us.

We had a Property (200 sq yards) it was under my grandfather name and he wrote a will (not registered) to my mother (daughter in law) and later in 2005 my mother gifted to our only brother (3 sisters and 1 brother), without considering us.

My query is that whether we can (3sister) be part if ancestral property or not ? we all are married and later in 2007 without informing us my brother sold to another person.

Can we take up any legal action on our brother or not and cancel the registration?

No you could not have done anything with regard to this property as the property had become self acquired for your mother after it was gifted by her father in law and your mother had all the right to dispose of her property the way she wanted which she eventually did. You sisters had no right or share in this property. Please check Sanjay Kalra and Associates on the internet to know more about our law firm and the legal services we are rendering for our clients from all over the World.
