Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

I had given a token amount of 45 thosusand through cheque to purchase a flat in New mumbai , Maharashtra but the seller of the flat has not given me the documents or even given a receipt of the amount received. Now that cheque has been cleared and the amount has been transferred to his account,They did not givie any kind of document to me.The cost of flat 20.50 lacs and I filed a civil suit in 2007 but my lawyer is not taking interest and has already charged fee etc, from me. Now i dont wish to continue the same lawyer as i feel something is wrong and if i continue i'll be cheated. My lawyer is not returning the amount taken in cash nor behaving properly with me .

Case is with civil court Panvel for 9a. Flat is not sold by the builder so far. Other lawyer is asking 50 thousand to deal the case. Could you please kindly tell me what can i do to get the money back from lawsyer as well as the possession after making the full payment. !

If you have writings with regard to work covered by fees paid and if such work is not done by the lawyer, then you can claim refund.

Lawyer fees are not connected with the outcome of the matter.
